After researching different kinds of newspapers and their websites, my mind is a little clearer regarding the creation of my own website. Differentiating between news websites and newspaper websites is shown though the implication of specific target audiences, for example I would regard Google news as neutral, as it features a large variety of stories regarding all different things, therefore appealing to a wide range of people. However newspaper websites such as The Haverhill Echo appeals obviously to local residents, but also to a specific age group.
I am planning to use the Braintree and Witham Times and The Halstead Gazette as my main inspiration for my media product, as I feel that they have the best designs and layouts.
